Clay in God's Hands

Beyond all comprehension, Jesus said that if we'd LOVE HIM AND OBEY HIS
TEACHING, that His Father would LOVE US, and that THEY WOULD COME TO US
AND MAKE THEIR HOME WITH US (John 14).

"..In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but
also of wood and clay; some are for noble purposes and some for ignoble.
IF A MAN CLEANSES HIMSELF FROM THE LATTER, he will be an instrument for
noble purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any
good work." 2Timothy 2:20

"..But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this
all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.." 2Corinthians 4:7

Paul STILL calls us clay. That didn't change.

Jesus was ONE with the Father, but chose to serve, submit, lay down His
life—"made Himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant"—being
just like the CLAY that Father desires His Children to be.

And if we desire to be One of His Own, then we too must choose to take on
the nature of simple clay—just like our Big Brother and King did first.

Maybe part of being KNOWN BY HIM is sharing in common with Jesus a
clay-like nature before God?
