Love?

"Some do not honestly love --
but rather love the idea of being loved.
True love is not of such bestial laws."

(Song of Solomon 2:15, 1Cor.13, The Flower, RF)

A Poem about God's House

How beautiful is Your House, oh Lord
How beautiful are her halls
In her I see all Your riches and Love
In her I find Your Peace and Presence
Glorious are those who dwell there
More blessed than all the Kings of the earth
Heaven visits His People there
They are not alone who put their trust in You
In their faces I see the King
In their presence I know His Love

I dwelt there for a while
Not realizing how beautiful and secure were her walls
Til I traveled out to another land
And longed to return
Truly all the reports of her majesty are right
There is none who can compare with her
Heaven meets Earth there
The King sits on His Throne
He cares for all their needs
He guides them with His own Hand
He is patient as He tends His flock
Leading them gently
Keeping them safe

How longingly I look to the hills and wish to return
How foolish I was to not cherish her as she deserved

Behold, you citizens of Heaven
Those who dwell in Zion and in Safety
May your praises be heard throughout the world
For what He has done for you
May your praises be heard in Heaven for how He has loved you
May you cherish each moment of your riches
and let not one word be missed that He whispers into your ears
